Meet The Hosts
Dilan Dane
Dilan Dane is the co-host of Becoming Superhuman and a living testament to the show's core premise: that extraordinary transformation is possible for anyone. His journey from war-torn Sri Lankan refugee to MIT graduate, Google engineer, YC Alumni and successful startup CEO exemplifies the power of first-principles thinking applied to human development. Dilan brings a unique combination of technical brilliance and earned wisdom - he's studied Theravada Buddhism in Pali while building AI systems, and transformed his own physique while scaling companies.
Currently CEO of Avida, a Khosla Ventures-backed cutting-edge startup to bring fitness coaching to 1 billion people, Dilan approaches human potential with the same systematic rigor he applies to technology: question every assumption, test everything, measure what matters. His contrarian insights and data-driven optimism cut through both doom-narrative media and wishful thinking wellness culture. Dilan proves that becoming superhuman isn't about mystical thinking - it's about understanding the mechanics of change and having the courage to rebuild yourself from first principles.
Ben Tauber
Ben Tauber is the co-host of Becoming Superhuman and a pioneer at the intersection of consciousness and peak performance. After selling his startup Scoopler to Google in 2011, Ben dedicated himself to unlocking human potential - first as CEO of the legendary Esalen Institute where he stewarded the human potential movement's birthplace, then as founder and CEO of Velocity Coaching where he guided Silicon Valley CEOs through personal and professional transformations. His unique approach synthesizes two decades studying with master practitioners across the frontiers of meditation, somatic work, and consciousness research with his computer science background from UCSD.
A practitioner of Mahamudra and Dzogchen meditation traditions, Ben brings both technical rigor and spiritual depth to exploring how humans can transcend their current limitations. He's equally comfortable discussing neurofeedback protocols as he is guiding executives through breakthrough coaching moments. When not recording, you'll find him in hot springs, on snowboarding snow-covered mountains, or in deep meditation - always exploring the edges of human potential.
